Eraser creates unclean edges

Open Wishdream opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

ArmorPaint version: ArmorPaint.org - v0.8 (2021-09-01) - 6bf55a1

OS/device including version: Ubuntu (PopOS) x64

Issue description: Eraser creates black edges where there shouldn't be. This is mostly a result of erasing by not only setting opacity to 0 but also painting over an erase color, or the erase radius is somehow smaller than intended color-wise.

This is supposed to look like this: image

But this happens instead: image

Normally, at least under observation, opacity is just set to 0 then applying the opacity as a mask to the colored layer afterward instead of done simultaneously to create cleaner edges.

Is there any workaround for this? No matter what I set Opacity or Hardness to, I have clear artifacts at the edges of my eraser. It's kind of infuriating to have to paint over each edge again after erasing to make a correction

Not sure, but this looks to me like the bug has already been fixed.... @Wishdream Please close this if it works for you too!
