[feature request] : Private messaging

This is my n°1 feature request : the ability to send a PM to another member. The reason I'd love to have it is because :

1. being a free software enthusiast, I avoid some of the mainstream social media (twitter, facebook) and many blender users are (still) not using the FOSS alternatives, so I don't have a good way to PM them. However most of the blender users I'm in contact with have an account here
2. I just think it would fit well on this website, provided that we could search for users in the search field

This is an important one indeed. It's not so trivial to make though, would involve quite some work. But perhaps we can combine it with other needed features. For example we need the "report post" function, it could work internally like a PM to the administrators/moderators with a preset text or custom. That way we code the feature once and use it with multiple cases.

sounds like a good idea. Reporting posts would be a good addition too.
