[Bug] Notifications links don't scroll down to linked comment and aren't set as read

When clicking a notification, it used to make you scroll down to the linked comment and set the notification as read. None of this happens right now.

While loading the page, I can see the address bar first displaying the correct link, then the #comment-id being removed, then the ?sorting=hot part being added instead. See below the resulting address compared to the link's address:

Since the link doesn't flag its notification as read and there is no individual button to set a particular notification as read, it makes sorting out read/unread notif hard.
