getting pyd to work

Hi I cannot install pyd with dub and also do not get it running with simply cloning it from github. I am working on Ubuntu (latest long term version) and python 2.7.6. Is there any documentation how to get it running? This would be great and would probably increase the circle of users as me who wants to do some number crunching fast but also quickly :-) Thanks!
