bmake can't find sys.mk

Open inferrna opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Even being installed into /usr/local/bin/ bmake complains about lack of sys.mk which is located in /usr/local/share/mk. To fix this you should export MAKESYSPATH=/usr/local/share/mk

It is my experience on Clear Linux which hasn't bmake in it repos. Met it on the way of building dictd which uses own build system which uses bmake.

I haven't updated this in a long time, so it's possible the issue has been fixed with a newer version of bmake. Does it work with https://www.crufty.net/ftp/pub/sjg/gmk-20220112.tar.gz ?

Actually I used https://www.crufty.net/ftp/pub/sjg/bmake.tar.gz which seems fresh.
