select2-search-choice-close not removing item from active_admin

Had gem 'select2-rails', '~> 3.5.9.1' in my gemfile since last year and it had all been working fine -- but for some reason (and unsure when it happened) but now the X on a select2 item won't remove itself at all.

Was your version updated in that time? You can check Gemfile.lock in history.
