I have the exact problem. It worked a few days ago, and now not working. Windows 10, Mdnotes 0.2.3, Zotero 6.0.19
The following worked for me:

- Install the latest version of Obsidian
- Remove zotero-mdnotes addin from Zotero
- Reinstall zotero-mdnotes following the instructions here..
- Restart Zotero
Upon restart, right-click a document and select Mdnotes>Create Mdnotes File. Select the download location and viola! Good luck!
