[GBA] Pinball Challenge Deluxe (Europe) Audio sample looping issue when paused ingame

Open ExperimentT020 opened this issue 9 months ago • 2 comments

Describe the issue When pausing during gameplay, the ingame audio is supposed to stop completely until the player presses B at the pause menu to resume gameplay. However, when paused it plays the last sample note indefinitely until the user resumes gameplay, mimicking the sound of a game crash. A audio recording has been provided below.

This was mostly fixed by #1997

However, it looks like there may still be an issue with unpausing. There is usually a short static noise when unpausing that I don't hear in NBA. May need hw verification if you don't want to assume that NBA is right just because it sounds better.

I just booted it up on an AGB-001 and aside from the usual background noise you get through the headphone jack, I can't hear any static bursts when unpausing. Same on an NTR-001 DS.
