cleanup Syntax changes.

I wanted to help and I think to get to know a project its good to do a clean up and learn the code. So this is a heap of code changes but Ive not changed the behaviour of the program, I've only made Syntax changes eg: used Lambda instead of anonymous classes. cleaned up some of the stream api usage. add added a few Objects.requireNonNull. and added a few missing @Suppress annotations.
