5second boot delay?

The original SKR 1.3 bootloader had a hard coded 5-6second boot delay before it started the main application, even when SD card was not present or when it didn't have newer firmware on it.

I don't see any technical reason for this, besides annoying the end user.

Is that also the case with this one bootloader?
