too many themes
there are too many themes, it would be nice to add adaptive by default and then offer them as add-ons (foss, of course)
idem for openbox menu themes, minimal for default and other in add-ons.
It's beautiful, but is too much
Too many themes? Are you kidding me? There's never enough customization options. Keep as many themes included as possible and if the user doesn't want all of them, well, they can delete them.
Wouldn't it be better to keep them as add-ons to be installed? If the user wants them, they install them.
Let's say it would make more sense, so as to “lighten” the distro, make it more organized and optimal
I think for most people theming is THE reason to use Archcraft. The system is built around that concept & the homepage makes that clear. (The clue is in the name) The fact there are multiple themes & you can mix, edit & play around with is a massive draw for many. If Adaptive was the only choice, Id say the majority of users wouldnt even try Archcraft.
I use Openbox Premium & there are 30 themes. Thats quite a lot, (is it 20 on the std edition?) but its not so many to become cumbersome. (its only 5MB for the entire OB config folder)
I would be disappointed if the base choice was reduced. If you're not interested in theming just don't use it. I realise that isnt helpful to people who dont want it to get in the way, but Id say compared to KDE the customisation options are not in your face.
I would agree there are an excessive number of Terminal Themes. (65) Thats so many its easy to get lost in the choice or forget what you are browsing.
Ultimately the only system impact in reducing themes would save about 4MB & have less files tucked away in a hidden .config folder.
