z and y keys switched after recent update

After the last update, y and z on my keyboard have been switched. I was using the english language and layout but the y key was consistent with quertz layout. now, it is in qwerty layout. which would be fine. but if i switch language to german i loose all my progress. is there a way to use englisch language but with quertz layout?
