'Compare youself' statistics not clear

In the Compare yourself section of the Profile, users can see text like

Your all time top speed beats 90% of all other people.

Your all time average speed beats 70% of all other people.

Does this mean:

1. the user's top speed beats 90% of other peoples' average speeds and the user's average speed beats 70% of other peoples' average speeds
2. the user's top speed beats 90% of other peoples' top speeds and the user's average speed beats 70% of other peoples' average speeds
3. something else?

I assume it's 1. but the phrasing could maybe be altered a little to make it clearer?
