The letter 'R' seems to be showing slower than actual speed

I have been practising on Keybr.com from around a few months (with large gaps in between) but now started doing it consistently. Then I saw a small issue:

Whenever a new letter is unlocked, or just about any time, the speed of the letter 'R' is significantly less than I expect. For example, I recently unlocked 'S', and its average speed was 35-36 wpm. But, the letter 'R' was at 27 wpm, even though I am very familiar with it. I tried turning on the 'Unlock a next key only when the previous keys are also above the target speed' option, but it only took 'R' to about 35 wpm, after which it dropped to 25-27 again. I tried to deliberately be slow typing the letter 'O', and it registered 'O' as being slow, but not as quite as 'R'. Any Idea on how to fix this?

Maybe this is normal?

The letter 'A' for example image

For me it's letter C. All letters go up to 60 wpm but C is stuck around 27-28 just like your case.

Whenever I unlock a new letter, I see a drop in already good letters. For me, this is normal.

I figure my brain needs extra power to process the new possibilities of combinations.

I like to uncheck Unlock a next key only when the previous keys are also above the target speed to not jump back and forth to the new letter. When I get a new letter, I want it to be part of the lessons, even when I am practicing a previously fast letter that is now slower in combination.

I suspect there is something bizarre going on here.

I use colemak-dh matrix and for me is the letter P, which is - though - the letter R in the qwerty layout, as per original bug report. I'm a 100 WPM typist and I'm going back to practice on keybr.com because my 100 WPM is in reality a mix of 120WPM on common letters, and below 80WPM on others ("rare" letters like Q or X that do not affect the overall speed test much).

What is very suspicious is that letter P is pressed with my left index on the top row, so it should be a very quick key to press, but my speed (as measured by keybr.com is actually a meagre 54WPM (and falling as time goes by). This is simply VERY UNLIKELY given that I keybr.com measures my letter Q (the one I know by experience is probably my weakest one ever, being depressed with my left pinky) at 56WPM.

UPDATE: I reset all my statistics from years of use of keybr.com. As soon as I did that, I was able to pass the full alphabeth at once. On my first try with letter P (key R) my measured speed has been 83WPM, almost double what previously measured.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark! 😉
