[Feature request] Multi component publish from multi component mirror

Open Hybrid512 opened this issue 2 years ago • 0 comments

With Aptly, it is possible to create mirrors which includes multiple components (such as "main", "restricted", "universe", "multiverse", ...) which is great because it avoids the creation of multiple repositories/snapshots to split each components into one published repo with separated components.

Right now, when you do a multi component mirror that you can snapshot and then publish, the published repo only have a "main" component which merges all the source components (main, restricted, ...) into one, losing that information.

This is not a major issue but it would be great to gather all the components from a snapshot and reproduce them in the published repository instead of having them merged into "main".

Would be even greater to have that behaviour customizable in the configuration so that the old "merge" behaviour can be kept for those who prefer having to deal with only one merged component.
