[Bug]: File picker Cancel icon not working as expected

Description

Pre-requisite: Upload a file in the file picker When I click on the cancel icon in the file picker, I can see all the uploaded items being removed from the view but the reference are still there.

Expectation : On clicking Cancel, Remove all the files from the modal and deleting references

Current Prod behaviour: deleting all the references on clicking cancel

Steps To Reproduce

1. Upload file in the file picker
2. click on the file button again
3. Click on Cancel
4. You can see the file references is there but there is nothing in the modal
