Godot tries to find Plugin.cfg in folder but there is Plugin.info.cfg so it fails. Also script field is empty

file differences: Image Image

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Download 8.10 godot-rapier-2d-single-simd-parallel archive from releases page and unpack it. Using Godot 4.3

Environment:

  • OS: Windows
  • Version: v0.8.10
  • Godot Version: 4.3
  • Type: godot-rapier-2d-single-simd-parallel

There is also no plugin.gd Did something change in how plugins work in godot?

I just removed it as it wasn't really needed. It was used in the past to specify the version, but didn't have any other use case.

Interesting. I don't get that warning. Hm.

I've upgraded from older plugin version. (8.4 if I recall)

Can you try completely removing the addon and installing again?

I've reinstalled/updated/cleaned project and godot from that time. That error gone and I don't know when it dissipated. (but it was bothering me some months)

Perfect, closing as fixed then. It's possible there were some leftover files that made the error appear.
