LocationMarker doesn't appear in the example/sceneform project when I update ARCore-Location from 1.0.5 to the current release of 1.2.2

I changed the ARCore-Location release to the current GitHub version in the Module:app build.gradle but the LocationMarker no longer appears. I'm trying to use the example as the basis for my implementation, but the example doesn't work with the latest version. Can it be updated?

I initially thought this was a 3d model issue, but it seems I'm experiencing the same issue as Mary without any ideas on how to resolve. :(
