Upcoming Changes to Our Mobile SDK

Open Kowshickkarthick opened this issue 1 year ago • 0 comments

We would like to inform you of some important changes to our iOS and Android mobile SDKs starting with SDK v9.0.

Please note that in the coming year, we will no longer release source code updates of iOS and Android Mobile SDKs to Github. This is not a deprecation of our SDKs, only an open-source deprecation as we are taking our Android and iOS Mobile SDKs private.

The source code for SDK v8.x will remain available in Github but will be removed in Fall 2024. Please continue reading for more details.

Future updates to SDKs starting from SDK v9.0 will be made available only as compiled binary files .aar for Android and .xcframework for iOS.

  • For Andriod: The .aar file will be published via MavenCentral or another equivalent service.
  • For iOS: The .xcframework file will be made available for apps to download and integrate through the following dependency managers:
    • CocoaPods
    • Swift Package Manager
    • Carthage
    • Direct download

From version v8.10, we will be updating the SDK for all changes mentioned above. Release notes will be published on the pages below for each new release. • iOS release notesAndroid release notes

If you are integrating via Github source code in your app and have concerns in using compiled binary files (.aar/.xcframework) through any of the integration methods listed above please contact your account managers or submit a ticket via the Customer Support Portal: https://help.xandr.com/.

Thank you for your continued support and please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely, The Microsoft Advertising Team
