Persistent reports of problems when Apple TV is a hub
Unlikely to be an issue with ADK, but I'm going to use this as a channel to report what seems to be a persistent issues with Apple TV when used as a hub. It's become a troubleshooting step to ask users if they are using Apple TV as a hub and if yes, instruct them not to. This is the most recent example - https://github.com/mongoose-os-apps/shelly-homekit/issues/260
@rojer could you please raise an issue using Apple's Feedback assistant so we can investigate this?
i don't own an apple tv, actually. @andyblac is our resident homekit expert and enthusiast, he says he has done it multiple times already.
This is in the past, I have not used AppleTV as a hub for quite a while, i'll do some testing next week, but everytime a user has issues with automations, my 1st port of call is to ask them to disable AppleTV and try another device (iPad, HomePod) as a hub, to see if problem is resolved, and 9/10 times it is.
Anyway, i'll test this again next week.
Confirming from here also. Tried simple automation, and it does not work for apple tv as a hub
i disabled both my HomePod hubs today, and re-enabled my AppleTV's as Hubs, automations failed. so like @d4rkmen it still broke for AppleTV hubs.
I myself got the feeling that Apple TV is a bit unreliable doing automations, thus switched to my HomePods, but never done a more in-depth analysis. Is there any way of providing more useful analysis than "it doesn't work"? Don't have good experiences with the Apple Feedback assistant in terms of stuff getting solved.

After update to tvOS 14.2 i cant reproduce the simple automation issue
