Using native currency breaks ability to delete numbers in amount field

When converting a nano amount to a fiat currency in the amount field, the initial value is correct and valid. However. If I try to delete numbers, it adds commas instead, which is what is shown in the attatched screenshot.

As far as I can tell, this happens for all other currencies than dollars.

Might be relevant that I use european (metric??) notation, meaning comma for decimals and dot for thousands.
