UX bug: after adding an array item, a new one is created and its required fields are immediately required

This is an array with a single, required string field.

I added one, which started a form for a second one. I was unable to save the array until I removed the second one. This is not a smooth experience.

Sounds like we want to detect whether or not an array item was abandoned. Does this have use or implications elsewhere in schema editing?

I think it's specific to the array editor given that it has its own modal and all.

But how do we avoid annoying people if the default values for the item are actually useful and they want it as-is and haven't touched it? Hmm. UX question for sure.
