ST3: Plugin keeps breaking on every update

Open kumarharsh opened this issue 9 years ago • 6 comments

Whenever a new version of this plugin comes on Package Control, it gets updated on my local machine, and then it fails to load, even after restarting Sublime. Then I have to uninstall this plugin and reinstall it.

Every Single Time.

Can the upgrade process be made smoother?

I have a similar issue where each time I launch ST3 I get the Package control messages saying that Better Coffeescript has been updated to v2.1 and then also popup errors about the coffeescript syntax highlighting not working. I restart ST3 and it's ok until the next day when on launch it checks for plugin updates again and I have to repeat the process. I'm on ST3 build 3066 on OSX 10.10 (but has been doing it on 10.9 and earlier too)

:+1: I think we can implement a more robust version control system. Additionally, we should look into the root cause behind syntax highlighting breaking and see if it's fixable.

+1 same here and now the syntax highlighting isn't working for CoffeeScript. Even if I do cmd+shift+p & "Set syntax: CoffeeScript" it stays all white

The only way to get the highlighting working is to restart sublime, and that's the core reason it's becoming a painful issue for me...

to get the highlighting working ... restart sublime

+1 - thanks @kumarharsh - I was assuming it was completely broken - that that made it work at least for the moment. hopefully it will get a new maintainer soon

+1

Editor freezes or crashes every update. Only solution is to restart.
