MDN does a good job describing some of these standards, e.g. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP. It would be a useful addition to the other human readable docs.

Awesome! Yes absolutely. I'm going to add "tutorials" and tools for various languages, etc., on top of just listing the things, and this will be a great source of tutorials. If you'd like to help with that... :)
