Any interest in providing FreeCAD files?

Open luzpaz opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

I do reach out for the FreeCAD community. In the past we've helped Open Source projects with their CAD design. Would you be interested in such a thing? It would also provide a good exercise for folks who want to learn how to use FC to create FreeCAD files for you. Let me know if you're interested?

Cheers

Hi there

I am currently doing most CAD work in the project in onshape so a FOSS alternative would be great indeed, I tried FreeCAD already for a bit but without someone helping/answering questions I did not get far unfortunately. So any help on this front would be much appreciated, I can dedicate some, not a whole lot of time to this but it would be great to get more people from our community and maybe even the outside interested.

Regards Sebastian

@sp-apertus Nice! Please feel free to post on our forum when you feel ready. If you can provide proper measurements and non-proprietary files (that we can open and inspect) that would definitely facilitate the process, for sure!

What file format do you recommend?

@sp-apertus well for the measurements maybe a screenshot of the technical drawings ? I recommend asking on the forum.
