Differences with the riot-desktop client?

Reading the claims on the README, it just looks like the desktop version of Riot (Electron providing the desktop integration). Could you elaborate on the differences between both? Thanks!

Seems like it is lightweight since it uses system available Webkit-gtk, at least on GNOME DE.

I see, this is using WebKit-GTK instead of Electron to embed Riot. Seems like a good idea, I’ll try it.
