`global-undo-tree-mode` no longer works

Since fairly recently, global-undo-tree-mode does not automatically start undo-tree in buffers. I don't know why this is, it's variable value is t and I haven't changed anything in my config. It might have been after an update.

you should probably contact the author of the package that is actually used in elpa https://elpa.gnu.org/packages/undo-tree.html https://gitlab.com/tsc25/undo-tree this one is an old version that is entirely unrelated to the one you get with package-install
