mapbox does not load datapoints

Open ignasv opened this issue 11 months ago • 4 comments

Bug description

When using mapbox, the map gets displayed without any datapoints. I need to either click on the map, or zoom in/out slightly for the datapoints to appear. If I then resize the browser window - datapoints disappear and I need to either zoom/click again. This only happens in the Dashboard view, Chart edit works as expected. Live Render is turned on.

How to reproduce the bug

  1. Create a mapbox chart & asign it to a dashboard
  2. View the dashboard (should not see any datapoints)
  3. Move the map with the mouse (datapoints should appear)
  4. Resize window (datapoints should disappear)

I am experiencing the same issue. Documentation of versioning etc. of my instances on this issue which I have now closed since it's the same as being described here. https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/27635

confirming we are seeing this too, seems the map needs to be given a refresh/redraw signal or method call or similar

@Vitor-Avila @yousoph do you know if we've heard complaints of this? Curious if @michael-s-molina @justinpark have run into this as well. Seems like we'd hear more outcry about this, but perhaps the solution is a git bisect away.

@rusackas haven't heard about it so far, and also couldn't reproduce it on Preset Cloud.
