Support of 3D?

This is a general question for support in Sedona Apache of 3D geodata.

• Is there any?
• Could it be used for 3D data/shapes (CityGML, Collada, KML, BIM file formats, pointcloud data)?
• Geospatial 3D index? Octree?

I think this would be a cool killer feature for Sedona to not only work on distributed 2D data, but allow to write/read and query 3D data as well.
