Scala 3 symbol ordering issue

During the 1.1.0 release, we noticed a symbol ordering issue.

It is possible that this is an effect of this issue for which the fix is still being released, though that might be wishful thinking. This is still too vague to justify opening an upstream issue, let's keep an eye out to see whether this issue remains after upgrading to scala 3.3.4 or later.
