Do we have anyone in the community who uses consul? If not perhaps we should perhaps add a note that this component is looking for a maintainer?

I may be incorrect but it appears like the Pekko Discovery Consul component has no integration tests.

  • we test with https://github.com/pszymczyk/embedded-consul - see #296 but embedded-consul will do for now

looks like we would need to drop java 8 support for pekko-discovery-consul if we moved to the kiwiproject lib. See https://github.com/kiwiproject/consul-client/issues/13
