[CI] Improvements.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

  • This is a top level task to mark CI improvements on our Roadmap.
  • Sub-Issues will show up when necedary.
  • Please do not close/delete this task.

Describe the solution you'd like

CI updates should:

  • prevent breaking changes to land in the upstream.
  • prevent build problems to land in the upstream.
  • verify that changes introduced in nuttx and nuttx-apps maintain compatibility with release version packages.

Hmmm don't think we have any budget for GitHub Runners to support this. Do we have any Corporate Sponsors? Xiaomi, Sony, Espressif, ... 🤔

And after we set up this CI System: Who will maintain it and make sure it keeps running?

Just marking our CI master on the task, You saved us many many times @lupyuen, BIG THANK YOU :-)

I think we are stuck with GH CI for now, maybe our distributed testing, no support from big companies :-( :-(
