Unable to set watch for variable

What happened

using netbeans 15 with jdk 18 in windows 11, unable to set watch for variable, the "variable" window popup but nothing in there

How to reproduce

highlight variable, right click editor, new watch

Can't reproduce. Probably the Variables window was not able to be initialized. Any Exceptions in the IDE log?
