[MPH-217] help:effective-pom does not show the value for a POM's "packaging"

Running "mvn help:effective-pom" does not show the value for a POM's "packaging" value.

It's not clear from the site documentation if "packaging" is inherited from the parent POM or not.

I understand the default is "jar".

I expect to see the "packaging" value when running "mvn help:effective-pom" so I can understand if the value is being picked up from a parent POM or if it is defaulting to "jar".

Wild guess, the serializer of the POM omits default value?!
