One thing that may make sense for the future is to separate "core" and "plugin" drivers. Having just a handful of "core" drivers would make the repo a lot simpler, I would imagine that + 80% of users are concentrated in a handful of drivers (AWS, GCP, Azure, Openstack, etc). Ansible did that in an interesting way with modules.

Also volunteer to participate in this clearning.
