I don't think there's anyone currently working on Hive Catalog support yet, so I don't have an estimate at all for now. Sorry.

I think Hive metastore Catalog is still widely used in China and I noticed that the Hive type has been added to the catalogs. The official documentation also includes clear tutorials on integrating Hive Catalog. Image

It could be suitable for a newcomer to this codebase, but probably not suitable for a newcomer to Golang or Iceberg

I've been developing with Go for the past few years, and I also have previous experience using Flink with Iceberg. I think I can make a simple local draft before being assigned
