Resources for init containers

What this PR does / why we need it:

adds resources for init containers which without that might not create pods in private clusters where you are forced to provide resources.

I've ran into a similar issue... Why hasn't this PR been reviewed and merged?

@alejandro-frias bluntly, because this is a volunteer project and it needs more maintainers. There is some recent work that improves the CI and release process - this should then make it a lot easier to get community contributions merged and published if they can be rebased.
