Instance launched on proxmox host is losing network connectivity

Open kiranchavala opened this issue 2 months ago • 2 comments

problem

The instance launched on proxmox host is losing network connectivity

versions

ACS 4.21

The steps to reproduce the bug

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Launch a vm in proxmox via cloudstack extension
  2. The vm gets a ip from cloudstack vrouter
  3. Stop the vm
  4. Vr goes into shutdown in Cloudstack
  5. Start the vm frm clodustack
  6. The virtual router starts but vm doesn't get a IP address assigned

What to do about it?

The vm should get a ip address assigned when the vr is rebooted

@kiranchavala can you configure the IP inside the vm, and ping the VR ?

Is your cluster proxmox only cluster? Cause mine doesn't even build a Vrouter vm, and due to that my proxmox instances dont even get created. Any pointers would be great

@Bharat-B I encountered something similar to that in https://github.com/apache/cloudstack/discussions/12273
