It probably makes sense to base the release to 3.18.0

👋🏻 hi, is there a planned timeline for the 1.1.0 release?

We're trying to decide between waiting for that release or forking + building artifacts ourselves in order to use AWS connectors that support the DefaultCredentialProvider.

@developerDemetri hi, I don't think this has been discussed yet. Recently we aligned the code on master to 3.18.0. We have released Camel 3.18.1 just a few days ago as well, so there's a chance we might discuss about this soon.

In the mean time, I recommend giving it a try w/ the code on main, as it has been aligned already. Although it's not a full release, it should give you an idea of the features you are looking for.

this has been actually released as 3.18.x to align with camel versions https://camel.apache.org/camel-kafka-connector/3.18.x/
