Hello, Just a small comment to say that it would be great to also upgrade iceberg version to latest one (1.9.0 atm)

Hi @sebastienPinel . Upgrading to Iceberg 1.9.x involves several changes that may require coordination with the community:

  • Dropped support for Spark 3.3;
  • Dropped support for Hadoop 2;
  • Some API-level changes.

A discussion about the upgrade plan may be initiated via mailing list in the near future.
