Improve docs on how to add new spectrometers / new functionality

To make it easier to add new spectrometers / new functionality the documentation needs improvement.

It should contain some sort of step by step guide on howto add a new spectrometer. It's probably a good idea to also include step by step instructions on how to do a github PR workflow.
