Open queston on BootMetro Evolution: how about having responsive tiles?
I was wondering if having responsive tiles could be helpful. As of now, du eto the fact that BootMetro tries to replicate the Metro style, Tiles too have the same standard size of the original: i.e. square tiles are 150x150, wide 310x150 etc. I can make tiles responsive without a fixed width, and using the span* classes of bootstrap to set it instead; that will ensure correct resizing of a hub page with various display resolutions.
Let me know what you think about it.
Please, no... responsive web design is a big lie... it's better to deliver the "real" or "compatible" WP/W8 experience than trying to achieve the "all-in-one" solution. Most of the time, when dealing with multiple devices, you have to change a lot of stuff anyway in order to get a decent product. Bootmetro is good the way it is :D
amen! Bootmetro is good the way it is. Responsive design is not a silver bullet.
i think its better to be responsive tiles mobile users are growing day by day
Wouldn't responsive tiles mean the tiles slide down and re-arrange to fit the viewport rather than resize? That sounds better than changing the shape of the tile.
Thanks for your opinions guys. In any case, I haven't intention to change the current behaviour, but my thought was to add a new one. For now I think the priority is to fix tiles layout to have the behavior like flipdoubt said.
I think it is a good idea to add responsiveness.
Probably totally different discussion but in iPad, the browser behavior is not there, if there are tiles outside of the visible area, the touch-devices does not allow one to pull right to view the additional tiles.
