Archive splitting doesn't work for TAR, GZIP and BZIP2

Open denis-evteev opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Hi there,

The split option doesn't seem to work for TAR, GZIP and BZIP2 archive types.

I'm not sure what exactly the real bug here is. If these archive types don't support splitting, then Keka should not show the split option in the UI. If they do support splitting, however, then it has to be fixed.

Thanks.

Actually, splitting doesn't work for the two other tar-based archive types: XZ and LZIP.

This surely needs to be improved.

For GZ, BZIP2 and XZ you can uncheck the "Always tarball non-archiving formats", then it will split as long as you only pass a file (a TAR or any other single file).

This should be improved for the next major version 1.3.0.

This build should have this fixed: Keka-v1.2.62.r5159
