[BUG] Keka finder integration battery drain

Open BLahz opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

Configuration

  • Keka version: 1.2.12
  • macOS version: 11.2.3 M1 Macbook Air

Describe the bug

I just checked my activity monitor's energy tab and sorted by 12 hour power impact. At the top there was Keka finder integration with 38,99. I haven't touched finder for a good while, nor have I had keka open in the background at all. I had a couple of finder windows open in the background though.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior: None?

Keka not eating a lot of battery

Feel free to turn off Keka Finder Integration.

Also, invocation or display of Keka's Finder Integration is managed by Finder/macOS. Displaying a Finder context menu is enough to get it to fire up such integrations.

Thanks for the feedback @BLahz. Do you have "Show in external volumes" enabled? Any log in the Console.app?

@gingerbeardman are you having issues too? You have the extension disabled?

Might be a dupe of #734, if @BLahz also has multiple instances.

Nothing at console.app related to Keka except analytics that don't say anything. I seem to have 3 instances of the finder integration and yes, I had show in external volumes enabled. I've never attached any external volumes to my laptop though.

See if disabling "Show in external volumes" makes any difference, even if you do not attach any external volumes. I've yet to replicate this issue with no luck :(
