Additional context
Selecting the same command in the contextual menus works Ok.
@GitGoo70 this is strange, because if a folder is selected only the compression options should appear. Does this happen for you with a specific folder or only in a specific path such as iCloud or similar?
This is the menu that should appear when a folder is selected:
It's a Finder window at User level. Not iCloud, or Google or anything. I see those menu items, but selecting Compress here or Compress to.. Does nothing.
However individual files can be compressed when selecting Compress here and Compress to, just not Folders, it does not compress folders for some reason.
Thanks
@GitGoo70 tested on macOS 12 but still not able to reproduce your issue. Does the contextual menu work for you?
Yes, the contextual menu works fine on folders. It's just the the Finder window toolbar that is the issue, and only on folders, individual files compress fine. In the Console app I get this error:
It’s clearly not picking the folders paths. Can you, just for testing purposes, disable other Finder extensions and see if that helps? You may need to restart the Finder.
Turned off all Finder related extensions, restarted Finder, not working. I don't know what could be causing the issue here. Anything else you want me to try?
Thanks.
Sorry for the trouble @GitGoo70.
Turns out it is the Columns view that breaks the functionality. Icons, List or even the Gallery view work as expected. I'll check if this is something I can fix but most probably this is a Finder bug. Will get back to you.
@GitGoo70 found a workaround. This version should work properly with the combination folder + columns view:

Please let me know if this solves the issue for you. You need to replace your Keka version with this one. If seems to have no change at all, try logout/login or restart your macOS.
THAT WORKED! Thank you very much.
