[BUG] Invalid TAR using Avid Nexis Workspace
Configuration
- Keka version: 1.2.58 (5074)
- macOS version: 12.6 (21G115)
Describe the bug
Trying to TAR a folder on a network volume. When I drag and drop the folder onto Keka, the TAR takes only a second to complete. The resulting TAR has only the folder in it. None of the contents. I've tried this with the ZIP setting and it works as expected.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go to network share
- Drag folder on to Keka set to TAR
- Keka completes compress instantaneously and does not report an error
Expected behavior
I expected Keka to create a TAR file that contained the contents of the folder that I dragged on.

@lakifo I was unable to reproduce this. Any specifics to the network volume configuration? Also the files contained in the folder have any special format?
I imagine restarting Keka won't help in this case.
I believe that it has to do with a combination of the OSX version and the Network volume. The TAR works for me on Mojave with is type of Network volume.
The network volume is an Avid Nexis Workspace. It gets mounted using a Client manager. The system recognizes it as a network volume and nothing special.
Sadly I have no such product so I can't test this one. Can you check what these commands print on the Terminal.app:
ls -la "/Volumes/POG_Audio_TB18/Sessions/TB18 Ep01 S8014"
file "/Volumes/POG_Audio_TB18/Sessions/TB18 Ep01 S8014"
Feel free to replace /Volumes/POG_Audio_TB18/Sessions/TB18 Ep01 S8014 with any offending folders that reproduce the issue.
Also will be worth knowing if dropping a file instead of a folder also reproduces the issue.
Hello!
This is what the command prints:

Single files do TAR properly. It seems to be the folders that it doesn’t like.
It’s worth mentioning that folder Tarring with this type of Network Volume works on MaOS Mojave.
Best, Laki
