Hi, is this project abandoned?

Hard to say, but I'd also say that that the 10.4 version of the library is filled with features for most of the use cases you'll probably have.

We hope so! Using something inactive in production is always difficult to justify.

It's in maintenance mode - bug fixes only. It will be refactored significantly over the next year or so to support new JDK features records, sealed classes & interfaces, pattern matching and Loom. Baseline will be for Java 17 with a goal of supporting Java 21 functionality for application developers.

@johnmcclean What can community members to do be helpful? In addition to new JDK features, there is ample room for improvements in documentation. I would love to see refactoring progress, and would happily contribute. It wouldn't hurt to get a concrete set of issues with a help-wanted tag into the issue list. Would love to hear your thoughts.
