Cannot Get /

Hello, I have been trying to get this to work and have scoured the internet looking for clues but without luck.

I'm getting a syntax Error: Unexpected Token through npm, see picture: error

Also, the http://localhost:8080/ is giving me a Cannot Get / see picture:
cantget

Any thoughts would be hugely appreciated.
