Proton wants libsdl2 to have haptic and libjpeg:8
Good day, happened to be reading a proton 3.16-7 log and noticed it complaining that libSDL2 on my system was not built with haptic support and also was trying to use libjpeg.so.8. (USE=-steamruntime).
If you have USE=-steamruntime then that means you're using steam-games-meta, which doesn't handle Proton, or esteam, which should have you covered. esteam already enforces the haptic flag on libsdl2 and it has a mapping for libjpeg.so.8. You do need to manually run esteam for it to do its thing though.
Right, I didn't need help resolving the dependencies for myself, this issue report is just to report my findings for posterity in case someone wanted to start collecting the extra dependencies for Proton and getting them into steam-games-meta.
