Resizing window causes graph to jump to the left/right?

When resizing the window, the whole graph does a weird "jump" to the left or right:

Any idea what's going on? When doing this with larger graphs the jump seems to be bigger - the graph instantly jumps off the screen so that all you see is the white background.
